Finally got my Tamagotchis back from the museum and back to where they belong🥰 it was an honor to have the chance to share my hobby with the public. Ngl, the paperwork (signing the loan agreement, valuation of each item for insurance coverage, etc), administrative red tape (authorizing my husband to act on my behalf while I was in Japan), and transporting the Tamagotchis were a huge hassle, but I ...

Would it be too late to do Nara

Visiting Japan in 9 days? Super excited as we’re going for my 30th Birthday ^_^. I’ve been to Japan a few times before but it will be my friends and families first time. So far the itinerary has been great but we’ve come into a clash, my friend wants to visit the manga…

Those of you who believe Nara was the "highlight of your trip," what did you do there?

Looking to spend a day in Nara, and focusing mostly on staying in/near the park. We're already seeing a lot of temples in Kyoto, and it seems like that's most of Nara (besides the gardens and deer). What made it the highlight of your trip? What in Nara is un-missable? Thank you…

The friendly, English-speaking staff and free entry make it a highly recommended stop for all ages, though some note it's a brief visit.

"I’m 42 and I had so much fun at the Toy Museum. It helped that there were a bunch of friendly kids interested in talking and playing with me but the kind women who work there were so sweet and eager to make sure I enjoyed myself and understood how the very old toys work. All the toys were very clever and one of the women working even played a full game with me. I definitely recommend it if you have kids. It’s free and you can see everything in about 20 minutes."
