What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ebisu Circuit is hailed as the 'Mecca of drifting' and a must-visit for car enthusiasts, praised for its thrilling atmosphere and variety of tracks suitable for all skill levels. Visitors rave about the community spirit, especially the willingness of local drivers to offer passenger rides, creating unforgettable experiences. However, reaching the circuit can be challenging and costly, and action isn't guaranteed on non-event days.
"This place is the drift Mecca, if you are a car enthusiast, you have to go once in your life! The trip there was awesome even if not many cars were drifting when we went (during the week). But still you get to see the drift missile "museum" anyway and feel the "roots drifting" atmosphere. The guys from drift experience were there, very nice people. The Zoo is nothing special and the cage are rather minimal, maybe that's the only negative."

"Dificult to arrive and not always with action, if you plan to go make sure to plan properly, the taxi from the closest city was 60€!
The place amazing with really good vibes!"

"It was a dream come true for me and my friends to be able to visit Ebisu Circuit during our stay in Japan. Not only did we visit the Mecca of drifting, we were there during the Spring Matsuri. We had heard about the openness of local drivers towards taking passengers, so we rented helmets with Sideways Exp and went to ask a few Japanese gentlemen to take us for a ride. Not only were they willing to take us for a ride, they were over the moon excited that someone would ask them to be a passenger in their car! We love this culture and we loved our time here and exerted our utmost gratitude to any driver that was willing to take us for a ride. 10/10 would come again! What a day."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider visiting during a 'Matsuri' event for a more festival-like atmosphere. While the 'drift missile museum' aspect might appeal to car-loving kids, the zoo mentioned in some reviews is described as 'nothing special' with minimal enclosures, so manage expectations there. Ensure children are supervised at all times and stay within designated safe viewing areas.
🚗 Budget Travelers
Pack your own snacks and drinks to save on concession costs. While the experience of witnessing world-class drifting is priceless, being mindful of these practicalities can make your trip more budget-friendly. Look out for event schedules that might offer package deals or early bird discounts.
📸 Photography Enthusiasts
Night drifting during Matsuri events presents a unique photographic challenge and opportunity, with the interplay of artificial lights and car headlights creating dramatic scenes. Experiment with long exposures to capture light trails and the movement of the cars. Be sure to check the circuit's policies on professional equipment and drone usage beforehand.
