Special moments with the wild horses of the Oki Islands, Japan 🐴✨ What a place! Not going to lie, I may have been in the Oki Islands, Japan, but it felt like I was back in the South Coast of England. 😅 I don’t usually walk up to horses. These ones chose to come closer, calm and content. They were super relaxed around us which led to some class moments with them. 👏 📍Oki Islands, Japan _____________...

"Ojika Island is an easy 1.5hr fast ferry ride from Sasebo on mainland !
On arrival we were met by the wonderful Ojika Tourist person Victoria who helped us with everything from renting E-Bikes to organising some absolutely delicious places for dinner around the island. Lots of fresh fish !!
We stayed in a gorgeous restored Japanese house called Ichiean with Kominka Stay and for a few days felt totally absorbed into the quiet Japanese island life riding our bikes around the beautiful island. Most importantly we didn’t see any other tourists !! The island peopke were lovely and friendly whenever we needed help with directions etc. The history of the island is really interesting too so make sure you include this place in your next adventure touring around Japan !!"
