"A very stunning view of autumn spot. Somehow when we were up there, a peaceful and calming feel immediately arose. Transfer bus is well schedule just may be crowded. And yes please try the hot dog selling at the stall."

"A truly amazing experience in autumn. A highlight of our time in Hokkaido.
It can be a bit busy in peak times, but the car park is big and there is a shuttle bus to the damn for a small fee. Otherwise the walk is only 2km but mainly through a tunnel. The damn, spillway, valley and trees were all amazing on a sunny autumn day. There were many other people attending but there was plenty of space to spread out."
Stephen Sanchez
"Fantastic views of the fall colors. Mid Oct, and the progression of the trees to fall coloration was at 90%. Perfect.
We opted to utilize a shuttle service from the Jozankei visitor and information center to get too and from this dam."
