Reviews Summary
Cape Puyuni is a highly recommended viewpoint in the Shiretoko area, particularly praised for its stunning sunset views and, in winter, the unique spectacle of drift ice. While it can get crowded, especially during sunset, the breathtaking scenery and opportunities for photography make it a must-visit. The nearby nature park center also offers a pleasant walking experience.
"Taken in feb. Best observation point in utoro part of shiretoko. Well known spot of photo taking and sunset shots. So it can get abit crowded at times.
You can get a good view of the moutain range and the bay area below. When the drift ice are around, good place to shoot the time lapse videos too. A small parking spot is just beside this viewpoint for a quick stop over. But again depends on the crowd.
Overall, a must go if you are in this area."
