What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking 'sea of clouds' phenomenon, describing it as a surreal and magical experience. The early morning gondola ride and the unique viewing platforms like the 'Cloud Walk' are highly praised. However, the experience is heavily weather-dependent, leading to disappointment for some, and the need to arrive extremely early can be challenging.
"The gondolas open early in the morning at 5:00am, but they often operate earlier, and during busy times there is a numbered ticket system, so it is advisable to arrive by 4:00am or 4:30am at the latest if possible. I arrived at around 4:40am and the gondola was already running, numbered 101, and I was able to board the gondola at around 5:20am. The view from the cloud walk on the deck jutting out from the cliff was fantastic, not only on the tower side but also on the west side of the valley, where the cloud sea covered the whole valley.
We stayed two nights again, this time hoping to see a sea of clouds, and enjoyed a good view on the first day with clear skies ☀️. We were very happy to see a sea of clouds on the second day. The day before, the cloud sea rate was 30%, but we were super lucky. ✌️"

"This place will either be great or ordinary depending on your luck and the weather. We arrived at 0600 and there was already a queue of around 45 minutes to buy tickets and take the cable car up, so definitely plan ahead and check their website as it'll be updated with the probability of cloud formation and queue times.
Generally, the earlier the better as the clouds tend to dissipate even before 0800.
On a good day though, once you're up there it's a beautiful walk and experience to be above the clouds. You'll also get some fairly unique photos too."

"Visited on 7 Aug 2025.
It opens at 5am, last cable car up is at 8am and the last cable car down is 9am so plan your sleep timing accordingly.
The weather was not the most ideal when I went there but the mist dissipate to form the sea of clouds that everyone went there for. So if you have time, do wait in the cafe. You might end up liking the experience.
The different spots are several minute walks away from each other with the rope bed, wedge deck and swing being uphill.
Also the staff stationed at the ropebed can help you take group photos.
Definitely worth the extra effort to come here."
