What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the Sarugaishi River Greenway for its stunning panoramic views of Mt. Hayachine and the unique geological features, including scattered rocks near the summit. The chance to spot rare luminous moss adds a magical element to the hike. However, some find the trails narrow and challenging, requiring careful navigation and a smaller backpack.
"Located directly opposite the famous peak, Hayachine, it's not particularly flashy so not many people climb it, but the rare luminous moss grows along the way. The hiking trail can be difficult in places as you have to make your way through small trees, but once you reach the tree line the view suddenly opens up and you can get a panoramic view of Hayachine across the way.
There are also huge rocks scattered around near the summit, offering a different view to the mountains of the Ou Mountains."

"This mountain is located south of Hayachine. The trail is short, but the trail itself is narrow and you sometimes have to go under trees, so I recommend bringing a smaller backpack. The view is great. You can see shining moss, so be sure to enjoy looking for it."

"早池峰山と鶏頭山には登っていましたがいつかは登りたいと思い早池峰山の予行練習?を兼ねて行って来ました。
ご褒美でしょうか❗😁途中早池峰山がどどーんと顔を出してくれました。
帰り道岩手山も少し雲がありましたが頂上が見えました!"
