Reviews Summary

Tokashiki Island is lauded as a peaceful, natural paradise with stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, offering a true getaway. Visitors highlight the incredible snorkeling opportunities, especially the chance to swim with sea turtles, and the well-organized facilities at popular beaches. However, some find the limited time on day trips restrictive, suggesting an overnight stay for a more complete experience.

"A peaceful island that is more nature than developed making it ideal for a true getaway. There are residents that live on the island, but not that many. There are a lot of beautiful scenic spots to check out and warm, soft sand beaches to enjoy."

Anthony Schmitz

"Best time on this island with the most stunning beaches! Such a great experience!"

"We took the ferry from Naha Terminal to Tokashiki Island and then a bus to Aharen Beach — and it was absolutely stunning. Just before you arrive, there’s a convenience store where you can grab food and drinks. At the beach, there are basic facilities like showers and toilets. A tip: get off the ferry on the left side so you’re first to the bus and the beach. That way you can rent a parasol and chairs early. The water is gorgeous. The downside is that the ferry leaves at 10 PM and you have to return by 4 PM, giving you only about three hours there. I’d definitely recommend staying at least one night to make the most of it.
