What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the mold-based pottery experience, highlighting its ease of use for beginners and families. The extensive customization options and helpful staff are frequently praised, making it a fun and rewarding activity. While shipping takes about a month, the anticipation of receiving a unique, handmade ceramic piece is well worth the wait.
"Did the pottery class utilizing molds, it was really fun! Directions are in Japanese and English, plus there’s always google translate between instructor and you. If you can follow visually you’ll be fine though. They’ll ship overseas as well, you do have to pay for that separate though. I’m not mad about it at all because I want my plate, and it has to dry, plus be glazed and then fired. Staff will glaze it for you, you pick one color out of a set of 6. It’ll take 1 month before they can ship it, and 2 months if you do regular shipping. I believe expedited shipping was 2 weeks, but I want it to come as a Christmas gift to me. Photo currently attached is immediately after the class aka wet clay."

"I like their concept of using mold to let beginners try pottery easily. It's definitely easier than wheel throwing or hand building. Professional instructor, plenty of stamping, cutting, alphabet tools for customization of your item during the tryout. Basically they create this great environment for you to try this out comfortably. It's easy to follow even if you don't understand Japanese, since a demo is given. After the tryout, your fired pottery can be sent to you at a variable rate depending on where you stay in Japan (about 1000 yen). Not sure if it can be sent overseas.
One thing that caught my attention was the display wall showing photos of kids with their created wares. It's inspirational and goes really well with their easy-to-mold concept."
