Reviews Summary

Tottori Onsen is praised for its spacious, clean facilities with a wide variety of baths and amenities, offering a relaxing experience often enjoyed by locals. While the on-site restaurant receives positive mentions for its food and pricing, some visitors note the inconvenience of infrequent bus services and the strict no-tattoo policy common in Japanese onsen.

"Stopped by while visiting the area as a tourist. Large facility with a wide variety of bathing/relaxation/dining options and quite busy on a weekday midday, with what appeared to be locals. Unfortunately, they do NOT allow tattoos, so I was turned away at the reception area. (Rated 4/5 to be fair, as it is a cultural norm for some onsen to not allow tattoos, even for foreigners.) If I return in the future, I will check again in case they update their policy. It looks like a great onsen and I wish I could have enjoyed it."

Jennifer Stevens

"Very good experience! Weekdays it' 800jpy, weekends/holiday 900jpy
There is indoor hot bath, massage baths, sauna, cold baths and outside is hot pool, 2 hot tubs and one warm bath
It was pleasant, relaxing and overall one of top 3 onsens I've visited.
The only minus is that there is very few buses going there, otherwise it's 40min walk from Tottori station.
There is a huge parking lot and gas station though; so if you're in the area by car, it'd be a great stop after a long day"

Eliška Leissnerová

"Spacious, clean and well-maintained public onsen with shower facilities.

You may park in the ample parking spaces, and purchase a ticket from the coupon vending machine. Adult tickets are at 700¥ each.

Ladies and men onsen areas are clearly separated, and there are many hot pools and sauna rooms. Some of the pools are outdoors, and there is a cold pool indoor as well. Try out the hydrojet bath!

You may rest at the tatami mat areas after showering. There is a restaurant inside as well with a good variety of Japanese food, reasonably priced."
