What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Toyooka Bag Street is celebrated for its genuine leather craftsmanship and unique bag designs, offering a glimpse into Japan's bag-making heritage. Visitors appreciate the variety and the opportunity for hands-on workshops. However, the significant walking distance from Toyooka Station and the lack of direct public transport are recurring drawbacks for some.
"Honestly, it's not a long street and consists of some shops selling a variety of bags. Some of the bags are unique and interesting but overall its not worth the effort. Getting there is tiring. There is no bus from Toyooka station to the street. We walked for at least 40 mins down the very long main thoroughfare and turned through some smaller streets before we reached it. ( after asking for directions along the way). No bus on the return journey too. For the long journey and time taken to get there, it is not worth it. There is nothing much in Toyooka."
