Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Taishu Sake Brewery, Tsushima's sole sake producer, praising the delicious, dry Junmai Genshu and exclusive Daiginjo offerings. The opportunity for tastings and the owner's detailed explanations are highly valued, making it a must-visit for sake lovers. While parking is tight and hours can be variable, the unique selection and local craft experience make it a highly recommended stop. Reddit

"I stopped by here during a trip to Tsushima. It was on the way from the airport to Shiratake.
It was a Sunday, and Google Maps showed them as closed, but I inquired ahead of time and was lucky to find out they were open from 10am to 3pm.
I bought some Junmai Genshu made with Yamadanishiki rice from Itoshima.
It was a delicious, dry sake with a rich flavor.
The taste was a perfect match for the ruggedness of Shiratake, which I climbed after visiting here."

"If you love sake, this is a must-visit. If you speak Japanese, the owner can provide a more detailed explanation. Tastings are also available. While the sake produced at this brewery can be found at Tsushima Island's supermarkets, the brewery offers a much wider selection. The prices also seem reasonable, and I would definitely visit again."

"Tsushima's Only Sake Brewery

They produce sake, barley shochu, sweet potato shochu, and rice shochu here.
However, perhaps because they distribute their products almost exclusively within the island, the brewery doesn't look particularly large from the outside.

They have a direct sales store where you can purchase everything they have.
The Daiginjo shochu pictured is only available at the brewery.
PayPay is accepted.
Parking is a little tight, but there's enough space for about four cars.

Shiratake sake lees are also sold at supermarkets on the island.
The sake lids are original, with the brand name printed on them."
