What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Don Det Don Khon Bridge for its historical significance and its role as a prime sunset viewing spot. The islands offer a charmingly rustic experience, enhanced by the freedom of exploring by bicycle. While some find the infrastructure basic, the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty are consistently highlighted as major draws.
"Charming old bridge in a sleepy island and few tourists in early morning."

"A historical former railway bridge. Currently a bridge connecting Don Det and Don Khon and a popular place for tourists to watch the fabulous Mekong sunset."
amie k
"It's a simple railway bridge that has long since had the tracks removed and been repurposed into a bridge for smaller vehicles and pedestrians. It isn't particularly impressive, but it is neat to see how much times have changed since it was made. Instead of transporting cargo and freight by locomotive for industry, the bridge now transports people by motorbike or tuk tuk for the tourism industry.
The bridge provides a much more convenient way to get to the next island than the longboats that you would otherwise have to take. And the views from the bridge (especially sunset) are pretty great too."
