What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the impressive scale of Tham Phu Kham Cave and the refreshing beauty of Blue Lagoon 1. However, many highlight the challenging, slippery hike and the need for a good flashlight for deeper cave exploration. The undeveloped nature of the cave is both a pro for adventurers and a con for those seeking a more curated experience.
"It's a very popular area, it's just not the cave. There's a giant swimming area as well. The cave is pretty amazing. The hike is challenging, you do see a lot of people in sandals making the hike, I think they're out of their mind as it is a very challenging hike to get to the cave.. Once you can get inside, definitely bring a flashlight. I read the reviews, and I was apprehensive about bringing one, but I brought one and was thankful I did, because the further you go the darker gets and it's super slippery everywhere."

"Very big cave. Let's go about 400 meters deeper, to the point where the cave begins to narrow. Bring a flashlight; a phone won't be enough! Bring shoes you can get wet, as it's wet in places. If you are not prepared, go to the statue of the reclining Buddha and turn back!"

"Entrance fee 20000kip including the lagoon. Recommended to have a flashlight because it was dark inside the cave."
