Reviews Summary
Tad Fane Waterfall is praised for its breathtaking twin cascades and the thrilling zipline experience, offering stunning views of the misty canyon. Visitors appreciate the natural beauty and the adventure aspect, though many note significant wait times for the zipline and advise checking payment methods and weather conditions.
"ถ้าเลี่ยงการมาเที่ยวช่วงวันหยุดยาวได้ แนะนำว่าเลี้ยงงง
During holidays or long weekends, it gets extremely crowded! If you plan to do the zipline, you’ll also need a bit of luck with the weather — rain can delay everything. When it’s busy, walk-ins are rarely accepted because most slots are fully booked.
I booked for 11 AM but didn’t get to play until around 3:30 PM due to the crowd and rain. So, be prepared — it’ll probably take half a day or more 😂
There are 3 zipline routes:
• The first one is the most famous — long, scenic, and absolutely stunning.
• The second one is done in tandem with a staff member.
• The last one requires you to climb a rope and zip back to the base.
Overall, it’s totally worth the price — beautiful views, great experience, though the wait can be exhausting. The staff were very nice and helpful, but the uncle with glasses at the ticket counter looked quite stressed 😅 (understandably, with so many visitors).
The waterfall itself is breathtaking — way more beautiful in person than in photos! And if you get to ride after the rain when the mist rolls in, it’s unbelievably beautiful — truly magical. 🌧️🌫️
Compared to other waterfalls in Laos, it’s relatively easy to access. You can park right at the entrance, and there’s no need to climb stairs unless you’re joining the zipline."

"Tad Fane Waterfall was definitely worth the 45-minute ride from Pakse! The roads were nice and the scenery along the way was beautiful. Parking was easy and cost 10,000 kip for a scooter, with an entrance fee of 30,000 kip for foreigners. The whole area was extremely well kept and beautifully maintained. The twin waterfalls were stunning — powerful and flowing with a big rush of water that made for some great photos.
The zip line looked like an incredible experience, but unfortunately, I forgot my credit card at the hotel and they didn’t accept LocaPay, so we just watched others instead. Still, it was a great visit overall! We spent about an hour walking around, enjoying the views, and then headed out to explore a few other waterfalls nearby. Highly recommend adding this stop to your Bolaven Plateau itinerary!"

"Stopped by to check out the waterfall- entry was 30,000 Kip and 10,000 Kip to park the motorbike (as of this review). It’s just a short walk to the viewpoint, which was nice. The falls themselves are beautiful but overall the experience was underwhelming . I wasn’t sure if it’s possible to trek down to the base. The zip line looked like fun, but they only accept Visa (no LOCA pay, unfortunately). In my experience, just an okay experience."
