Amazing new mural currently in progress Downtown Riverside. The Lime Street bridge built in 1974 for the workers at the County building to cross over Lime Street. Local artists Juan Navarro and Patrick Barwinski have teamed up along with the 🍊city of Riverside and Altura Credit Union to bring this masterpiece to life. Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the imposing statue of Fa Ngum and the generally clean, quiet park setting. However, a significant drawback is the lack of English information on the historical plaques, leaving many wanting to learn more about the figure. Maintenance of the surrounding areas can also be inconsistent.

"Fa Ngum was the founder and first king of the Lao kingdom of Lan Xang who created the first unified state of the Lao people . He is an important figure in the history of Laos.
Fa Ngum was born in 1316 and died in 1374 being king from 1353-1373"

Nigel Fowler Sutton

"I'm rating the statue here, not the park which is very nice, impeccably clean and well-maintained. As for the statue: there are writings and plaques in Laotian and French language. Why doesn't the municipality spend a little bit of money on a simple sign that explains what this mighty statue is about? I came here to learn about the history of Laos but I had to leave without any new knowledge because this big statue of a man doesn't reveal any hint of information on who he was, what he achieved and what he represents in English language. You can't expect every tourist to read and understand French and Laotian."

"The statue of the important king of Laos
The whole area was considerably clean and quiet."
