Reviews Summary
Kyrenia Gate is a significant historical landmark and a useful tourist information point. While some visitors have reported negative experiences with unhelpful staff, others have found the information provided to be valuable for exploring Nicosia. Its historical architecture and role as a gateway to the walled city are consistently praised.
"Terrible experience. I visited this information center with a group of friends to ask about the town, museums, and other attractions. The woman at the desk, who didn’t speak English, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She handed us a map and immediately pointed to the door, clearly wanting us to leave. It seemed like she was more interested in scrolling through her social media than assisting visitors. This happened on Wednesday, May 21st, around 11:30 AM."

"Beautiful gate. Inside, it operates as a tourist information desk.
The lady was helpful, answered my question about museums and gave me a tourist mini map of the town showing me also the attractions points!"
George Terzidis
"As one of three gates in the Venetian city walls, it’s not as exciting as I expected but a must-see when visiting Lefkoşa nonetheless (the park next to it is a nice rest spot and dolmuş/minivan stop for Girne/Kyrenia is nearby)."
