On October 3, 2025, we were delighted to receive complimentary one-day tickets to SKYWORLDS THEME PARK and SKYTROPOLIS INDOOR THEME PARK, courtesy of Genting Malaysia Berhad, as we are members of Genting Highlands.
We were assisted by Mr. Afiq, the “polis bantuan” police assistance, who guided us on how to reach Skyworld Theme Park and provided us with essential information about the entertainment venue. "Not exactly the most thrilling but definitely a family-oriented theme park! Lots of rides for kids and decent ones for adults too. Due to the long queues for most rides, we only managed to take 8 rides. Not too bad for a Sunday!
The Virtual Queue system is definitely a plus! However, standard ticket only gives 3 (qty i had)? So choose the rides you want to use it for wisely. And select early in case the timings become fully booked.
Some rides with special shout-outs:
1. Acorn Adventure (Ice Age)
Definitely a must to ride! Need to store bags in locker but you get to wear your glasses! Huge plus for people wearing specs as you get to enjoy the full experience while taking in the fantastic scenery! Ride itself was pretty decent, best in the theme park.
2. River Town Roller
This was to me a hidden gem! Got to control the direction (neutral, forward, backwards) of the rolls through your own joystick. Decide your own fate!
3. Independece Day: Defiance
Nice relaxing ride witha mega screen, flyung theatre show ride. If you want to go for this, do use the Virtual Queue. Waiting time is insane and painful.
4. Epic Voyage to Moonhaven
U will get WET. Do get a poncho, else do it as your last ride of the day. My shirt and pants, underwear included, got pretty damp. Ride itself was so-so, initial drop gets you wet and another bang near the end to makee your wet journey complete.
5. Terraform Tower Challenge
Did not get to ride this due to insane waiting time, 90min... perhaps use your Virtual Queue for this if you really want to try. Looks good!
Quite a number of rides were either still in renovation or under maintenance so do check before coming. Not too bad for a first time here."

"This was my first time visiting SkyWorlds Theme Park after the massive renovation. For me, as an 80’s baby, I personally preferred the old Genting Outdoor Theme Park. The new one feels more like an “Instagrammable park”. No doubt, there are now more kids-friendly games outdoors compared to before, but the overall vibe is very different. The old theme park used to have more thrilling and fun rides, whereas now it feels toned down.
Another downside is the waiting time – queues can go up to 120 minutes. I really think the theme park should implement a system where, if it has already reached full capacity, they should stop selling tickets and mark it as sold out. At the current ticket price of RM168 per adult, it honestly doesn’t feel worth it. You pay a lot, but you don’t get to enjoy all the rides. Even with the Virtual Queue system, you can only reserve up to 3 rides.
Luckily, we bought our tickets during a promo at RM68 per person, so missing out on some rides wasn’t such a big deal. But if I had to pay RM168 next time, I don’t think I’d come again. Honestly, the vibe is just not the same compared to the old theme park. Back then, it was so fun that we would come almost every year."
