What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gohtong Jaya is celebrated for its abundant and delicious local eateries, offering a wide variety of food at reasonable prices, especially compared to Genting Highlands. Visitors praise the taste of dishes like claypot kangkong and seafood, and appreciate the cool mountain air. However, some note that it can be pricey for a tourist spot and accessibility can be an issue for wheelchair users due to uneven terrain and shop layouts.
"Guan Kie serves very good food and good customer service. Their claypot fried kangkong was so delicious, that motivated me to try to make the same dish as soin as I got home. The wild boar curry was delicious too but what's amazing was the price was reasonable. Good food. Will come back again"

"Came here for lunch. Food is good but pricey. Guess this is a tourist spot
The place lack facilities for wheelchair bound visitors. We have a wheelchair bound elderly and had a hard time going into shops. There are no ramps and the steps are high and uneven. Some parts are terraced as the shops are on a slop. To make matter worse, restaurants have chairs and tables on the front walk ways."

"A small town with lots of local eateries
Inexpensive and good food everywhere
Durians are good when in season"
