Reviews Summary

Cheah Kongsi is praised for its beautiful traditional Chinese and Straits Chinese architecture, offering a glimpse into Penang's rich heritage. However, some visitors find the RM12 entrance fee steep for the limited information and exhibits within the main clan house, suggesting a visit to the accompanying museum first for better context.

"If you don’t have anything to do in Georgetown, this is also a OK la to see place. Architecture is this building is nice and the rest is like nothing special… RM12 is way to expensive."

J Luke

"If you are really free and nothing to do then you can pay a visit. We are attracted by the building outer, it looks very nice. But inside of the building dont have much information or details to visit. This is different like the nyonya house. Entrance ticket RM12 is not worth it."

Wan Qi

"Beautiful building but the clan house itself could do with more information / better organisation. There isn’t much inside so you mainly go to admire the architecture. We did the clan house first and then realised there is a small dedicated museum across the grassy courtyard which gives some important context about the Cheah Clan. I would recommend doing the small museum first, and then the clan house itself."
