Reviews Summary
Mural Arts Lane is appreciated for its vibrant street art and cultural depictions, offering a unique charm to Ipoh's old town. While some murals show signs of age, visitors find the artistic expression and the integration of nature captivating. The nearby retro coffee shop adds to the pleasant experience, though some note the need for better preservation efforts.
"It was my first visit and whilst I did see murals that have faded over time, I still think this place is worth a visit. The trees and plants growing near some of the murals, added a fair amount of charm to it. It was very quiet as there were only the 2 of us visiting the time we did. Whilst it felt safe, I can appreciate that individuals visiting on their own may feel hesitant. So, worth coming along with someone.
I enjoyed seeing how each mural represented the different cultural aspects and expressions of Malaysia. I do think that it would be great for the local/ state government have some focus in preserving a number of the murals.
I would visit this place again. Mornings when the temperature is cooler is definitely a recommended time."
