"Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, is one of the most iconic spots in Langkawi — and it’s easy to see why! The massive eagle statue facing the sea is absolutely stunning, especially with the ocean and mountains in the background. It’s the perfect place for photos and to just enjoy the breeze by the waterfront.
The pavilion area and beachside corniche are lovely for a walk, with plenty of space to relax and take in the scenic views. There’s also a well-maintained park nearby, making it a great spot to unwind or enjoy a quiet evening stroll.
The best part? No tickets are needed, it’s completely free to visit! Just a small tip — try to go in the evening instead of noon, as it can get blazing hot during the day. The lighting at sunset makes the place even more magical.
A must-visit when you’re in Langkawi — beautiful views, great photo ops, and a relaxing vibe all in one spot!"

"Dataran Lang is one of those must-visit spots in Langkawi — the huge eagle statue is even more impressive in person. It’s a great place for photos, especially around sunset when the light hits the water and the sky turns gold.
The whole area is clean, well kept, and has a nice breeze from the sea. There are plenty of cafés and shops nearby, so it’s easy to spend a bit of time just wandering around.
It’s touristy, sure, but still absolutely worth seeing. The views over the water and the surrounding islands are beautiful, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed."
