What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally appreciate the vibrant and scattered nature of Old Town Murals, finding joy in the exploration and discovery of street art. While some areas are well-maintained and lively, others may be less so, with occasional mentions of garbage or renovation. The experience is often enhanced by the surrounding historic charm and available cafes.
"Most attractions are within a small area in walking distance. There are restored old houses and museums. We visited the one about Chinese herbal drinks and found the content very interesting. There are many restaurants in the area to get a snack and lunch. There is also newer restaurant with the upper floor dedicated to collection of a marshal art master who played in action movies of the 60’s (yes that was way earlier than Bruce Lee and Jacky Chan). The collection includes material for lion dance and equipment for martial art training. It is not a big place but fun to watch"
Karl Chan
"Nice alley with some beautiful street art. In general the city center and old town of Ipoh is a place where you can find some fine pieces of art."
Christian Freundorfer
"This is not as expected. May be they are renovating. Everywhere garbage and not maintained. One street is full of shops and lively, others are not"
