Johor lama is a great place"

"No admission fee to enter the museum. It's a small museum showcasing Johor's first king from the line of the Melaka Kings. The locations of old "keramats" or tombs and past fortifications. Highly informative though it's just a small exhibit. Well worth the trip."
Din Saint
"A must-visit not just for history lovers, but for all Malaysian kids who learn Sejarah in school. This place documents a significant part of Tanah Melayu and thus Malaysia history, connecting the dots between the fall of Malacca Sultanate and the establishment of Johor Sultanate. Decent exhibition displayed in traditional style house. You can also walk to the site of old fort (majority pretty much still buried).
The guard on duty was so nice and knowledgable (and passionate) in general history"
