Reviews Summary

Visitors love the vibrant atmosphere and the incredible variety of affordable fashion and souvenirs at Jalan Masjid India Bazaar. The halal street food is a major highlight, offering authentic and delicious local flavors. Some find the crowds overwhelming, especially on weekends, and navigating the busy lanes can be challenging.

"For foreign and local tourists on short visit, its ok but there are more original local goods at Pasar Seni (Central Market) just 1 train station away. Masjid Jamek area has an attached outdoor food market that starts noon ish till night. Mostly for local tourists to buy traditional wear such as baju melayu and baju kurung. You can start here and walk all the way to Sogo to get the local tourist shopping vibe.

For tourists on longer visits and locals, head to Amcorp Mall flea market for more authentic local antique goods. Amcorp Mall is 10 minutes walk from Taman Jaya LRT, the same train line from this place (Masjid Jamek LRT)."

Suriya H.

"You can find many diffent types of local food. And there are also may shops for local goods and clothes."

Alper Ateş

"Great place to find clothing materials, especially for Malay/ Indian weddings, big festival outfit etc.

You can still negotiate the price with the Vendors, most of them will likely counter offer but try your best. Depends on materials too.

Vast area to walk around and will easily cover your daily 10000 steps!!"
