"It's a really beautiful spot but I don't think anything is open... I was the only person there. A lot of people working on the place building/gardening etc but no other visitors. No signs to explain anything about the rice paddies so maybe it isn't actually open. But it's very pretty.
And I enjoyed watching the water buffalo have a roll in the mud and chase a bird."

"Very interesting visit, we learned everything about the sowing, harvesting and processing of the rice. We had a guide who explained all the process inside the museum and then showed the different stages of the process in real life.
We even did plant a bit of rice!
She also showed us how to open a coconut, and how to shave the Coco itself.
We learned a lot.
The place was mostly empty most of the time, so there's no issues with be too crowded.
Recommended."

"This has got to be our highlight of Langkawi. It is a hidden gem where you get a hands on experience for a cheap price!
We had a guide show us around the museum and explain the history of cultivating rice in Langkawi. We then made our way to the herb garden where the second guide Rushdy showed us the different medicinal uses of each herb. We grated some fresh coconut which we ate immediately (delicious)! I asked to take the leftovers to my hotel which I enjoyed later on. Then we made our way to the rice paddy to plant the rice. The 3 guides who showed us around were all fantastic! We really felt the personal touch to the whole experience.
All in all we paid about £4 each (20 ringgit each). It’s too cheap for what you’re given.
My only suggestion is that someone is manning the front desk as we waited around for a long while looking for someone to buy tickets off."
