What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sabah Tea Garden offers a serene escape with its picturesque tea plantations, though some visitors note that certain food items and the upkeep of parts of the plantation could be improved. The scenic drive and unique attractions like the tree house canopy walk are highlights, making it a worthwhile stop for nature lovers and photographers seeking a peaceful experience.
"Wont come here again and not recommended. Service is fast, venue is well maintained, view is nice. My friend ordered tomyam noodles and had “worm” on the prawn. Nobody apologised for the worm but only said free of charge for the tomyam noodles but I couldnt continue to eat my mee hoon curry. We also found a fly in Teh Tarik Pandan and the waffles is below average. Additional 1 hour drive here from kundasang is not worth it"

"Stopped by Sabah Tea Restaurant for a quick bite — we only had the pancakes, which were average in taste, nothing special. But the menu does offer some unique local dishes, and we saw other diners enjoying their food, so maybe the other items are better.
The view of the tea plantation adds a nice touch, though it’s not exactly stunning — parts of it look a bit abandoned or not well maintained. Still, it’s a peaceful spot to sit and relax with a cup of tea.
They also have a souvenir shop, but the prices are really expensive. Even the tea costs more than what you’d pay for the same Sabah Tea at retail shops down the hill."

"The drive to this place is scenic and beautiful, but do note that some parts of the road are bumpy with potholes and damages—drive carefully. It gets quite hot in the area, but there’s ample parking. There’s a tree house with a short canopy walk, which is chargeable for 10 minutes (price is shown in the picture attached).
We enjoyed a lovely walk along the tea plantation trail—great for taking photos and soaking in the lush greenery but bear in mind when we were there, the place was super hot. So some umbrellas or hats are advisable.
We didn’t try their actual hot or cold teas, so we can’t comment on that. We only had some snacks, desserts, and drinks. Here’s what we tried:
• Green tea smoothie was not good
• Sirap Bandung was average
• Banana fritters were okay
• Green tea pancake was decent
• Green tea ice cream was good
• Mixed fruit platter was alright (pineapple was a bit sour, but watermelon was okay)
They have traditional clothings for rent for those who are interested.
Overall, it’s a nice place to visit for nature lovers and casual bites, with photo-worthy surroundings."
