What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Il-Ballut Salt Marsh is praised for its authentic local feel, delicious and affordable seafood, and refreshing swimming opportunities. While it lacks facilities and some find the view less than ideal, its charm lies in its natural beauty and genuine atmosphere, especially on lively Sundays.
"Relatively cheap prices compared to nearby restaurants. Got a fish platter for two which was tasty all together, calamari was a bit chewy but the octopus was delicious and you get 8 different kinds of fish and seafood to try. Service could be faster and it's a bit weird they bring you pre-poured drinks instead of bottled ones. Went on a sunday and it wasn't busy."

"A brilliant beach to go swimming. Popular with locals."

"Known as a fishing village you can sit at one of many restaurants and eat fresh fish dishes. I've visited on a Sunday which had an open market, sort of a fair thing which I thing happens every Sunday. Walking distance (half an hour perhaps though) are some beautiful places to enjoy and jump of cliffs into the sea if you are into that. Lots of young people there."
