What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Marsaxlokk's Sunday Market is a vibrant and colorful experience, praised for its lively atmosphere, unique souvenirs, and delicious pistachio kannoli. Visitors enjoy the picturesque harbor and the chance to see traditional fishing boats. However, the market can become extremely crowded, making navigation and photography challenging, and some find the prices for sweets to be a bit high.
"The Open Market at Marsaxlokk Harbour was lovely to walk around, we picked up a few nice souvenirs to take home and enjoyed looking at all the local treats. I highly recommend the pistachio cream kannoli - they were absolutely DELICIOUS and I’m still dreaming about them a week later 😍 it was a nice spot to walk around the harbour and take in the views too!"

"My favorite was the handmade pressed flower earrings.
A big market with a variety of souvenirs, clothes, jewelry, souvenirs, handmade products, vegetables and of course fish. The traditional maltese sweets and pastries seemed overpriced, but for free they offer a taste of pistachio creme, bajtra (cactus liquor), and some sweets I don't even know the name of. It gets very busy and crowded, and it was also kind of hard to take photos because there were too many people, but beside that it was a really nice experience, the whole market has a lively atmosphere, and it's a must if you visit Marsaxlokk."

"Sea promenade of the harbor is very crowded with market selling souvenirs and original Maltese sweets which you can find much cheaper anywhere lese of the island. Not such a pleasant experience as it became very over crowded most of the time"
