What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the secluded and quiet atmosphere of Pont Bon Dieu Natural Arch, highlighting the unique experience of exploring its caves and lava tunnels. The natural beauty and free access are significant draws, though the presence of mosquitos and the need for mobility are noted drawbacks.
"Very secluded and quiet. You may have to park around the corner near the temple and walk around. Many mosquitos and bats but a great experience"
Lilé Potgieter
"Amazing place to visit but bring the mosquito spray. There are stairs down, not difficult to navigate but a bit steep. The ground opens up and you are surrounded by rock structures with a few caves / lava tunnels in the walls. The big tunnel actually extends 200m underneath the road and you can get a guide to walk through with you. If you visit, drive a bit further up the road to enjoy the sea views as well. We did this accidentally as we missed the cave sign coming from Bon Accuel side."
Riki Armstrong
"It's a gr8 self explore, so you need to take flashlights, a hat in case of bats, although there were lots of small birds rather than bats. We spent about 1 1/2 hours just looking around. You must be reasonably mobile for this. There is a bit of climbing to do."
