"This is an aerial view of Le Morne. What a beauty! This place has lots to offer. From a rich history, to a stunning beach, everything about Le Morne is simply magical. "Did this trail for the second time in 3 days. I did this on my own this time while 2 days earlier I did it with the family. I started from the Riu Turquoise hotel which is the closest hotel to the start of the trail. It's about 20 minutes from the hotel to the start of the trail. No tickets are required and do begin as early as possible in the day to avoid the heat. Take 2 litres of water per head please. I finished it all by the end. On your return, there is a diversion to the valley of bones and it adds just under a km to the trail but it is worth it. The trek itself is brilliant and is actually 40% scramble but though it looks steep and daunting, it was doable for children and first time scramblers (with lots of coaxing). The first time with family took us about 5 and half hours from hotel turquoise and back, while on my own it took me 4 hours, including the valley of bones and the small open air museum at the entrance. (REMEMBER THE 2 LITRES OF WATER PER PERSON)"

"The “road” to the parking lot is scarier than the hiking trail to the top. So many holes and full ponds - good luck putting your rental car through it. At the entrance to Le Morne: very nice people that take your Name, Country and number of people in case you go missing.
The top part is no joke - up to the gate is more or less effortlessly done, but be prepared for serious mountain climbing to the cross and a breathtaking view. Saw a lot of brown trousers descending from the top"
