Visitors appreciate the raw power of nature and the often secluded west beach, though the journey involves navigating rough tracks through sugar cane fields. The remote location and the adventurous drive are considered part of its charm, making it a worthwhile expedition for those seeking natural beauty away from crowds.
"As other have said, you might wonder if you are on the right road or if you are even on a road. You will make it and it is absolutely worth going. This is one of my favorite places we visited while living in Mauritius for four months. The cliffs are huge and the water is churning. It is raw power of nature. Keep walking south and there is an amazing beach with almost nobody there. We pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves. The grassy path is really cool and different than most other areas in Mauritius. I highly recommend it."

"Located far from main road via omnicane branch road. About 8 kms/15 minutes drive and ~3 mins of rocky/muddy road. Low cars better avoid this way. Well long way but worth it if you like sea waves and relax in the shades. Why "le souffleur"??? Look for the rock who "souffle" 👀😉. Check for it in my pictures. Have a good day... 😊"

"Road was better than I expected, but took me two attempts to get there. First, I was intimidated to go close to the sugar factory but actually when you drive to it, there is a small roundabout and from there there are signs. Road is bumpy but not too bumpy, with caution even a small car can do (we had S-Presso). You can get directly to the cliffs. There is a strange gate asking for a "permit" to enter, but we were not stopped by guys on the gate on the way in or out. Cliffs itself is buetiful, I recommend talking the 10 minutes walk to west beach nearby"
