Reviews Summary
Playa Delfines is praised for its stunning turquoise waters, free shade palapas, and the iconic Cancun sign, making it a beautiful and accessible public beach. However, visitors should be aware of strong currents, limited on-site amenities, and early closing times for facilities.
"We visited Dolphin Beach on September 2nd and 3rd, 2025. Parking can be tricky — if you arrive after 11 am, it may be hard to find a spot close to the beach.
The beach itself is very nice: it has free “mushroom tents” for shade, the sea is clean, and the bottom is sandy with no corals. On both days there were big waves, and some seaweed only appeared later in the afternoon (around 4 pm).
Facilities are basic: free washrooms and showers are available, but there’s no toilet paper (vendors sell it just outside). There are also no food or drink stalls on the beach, so you’ll need to bring your own or walk about 7–10 minutes to the nearest Go Mart.
Overall, a clean beach with good shade and nice swimming conditions, but plan ahead for parking and supplies."

"Nice Beach with a Few Caveats
This is a beautiful beach spot in Cancun that offers some convenience but also comes with a few limitations. One of the biggest perks is the available parking—something that’s often hard to find in the area. If you’re driving, this alone makes it worth considering.
The beach itself is clean and scenic, perfect for sunbathing, relaxing, or enjoying the view. Showers and restroom facilities are available, which is a nice bonus, but be aware that all services, including the facilities, are turned off by 5 PM. This can be inconvenient if you’re planning to stay later into the evening.
The water is stunning, but the current is extremely strong here and can be quite dangerous, especially for children or inexperienced swimmers. It’s definitely something to keep in mind before going in too deep.
One downside is that there are no chair or umbrella rentals, so be sure to bring your own if you plan to stay a while. Overall, it’s a solid beach for a quick visit or a few hours of sun, but it’s best suited for prepared visitors who don’t mind a more rugged experience."

"A wonderful beach with free amenities like showers, sinks, changing rooms, and umbrellas. You can buy fresh, delicious coconuts and chilled bottled water right on the beach for a small fee. The sea is a stunning shade of turquoise, and the water is so gentle it feels like it's caressing your skin."
