Visitors praise La Campana for its well-maintained paths and pleasant natural setting, offering a peaceful walk within the city. The site's preservation and accessibility are frequently highlighted as positive aspects, making it a surprise gem for many. However, some note the limited interpretive signage, suggesting a guide would enhance the experience.

"Nice place to walk in nature but still be in the city, loved the clear walking paths."

"The site was well maintained and there was no wait for tickets. Adults 70 pesos. Some interesting things to see like the dog that is down in the entrance to the underworld and the water/fertility pyramid."

Bradley Garness

"Large archaeological ruins site in a quiet natural environment, yet easily accessible from Colima city. There are a few instructional signs around the site, but you may need to use your imagination to get the most out of your experience. Although not available from the site itself, a guided tour would be invaluable to make the most out of this site. Make sure to wear closed shoes and socks because there are large communities of fire ants throughout! The current price is 75 MXN per adult, and young children are free (or at least that was our experience)."
