Reviews Summary
Playa La Joya Punta Banda is a highly recommended 'jewel' for its unique rocky shoreline, natural thermal waters, and excellent snorkeling opportunities. Visitors praise its tranquility and suitability for family exploration, though some note the lack of sandy beaches and amenities. The unique floating hut accommodation is a standout feature for an unforgettable stay.
"This specific spot requires a little hike to get down the hill but it only takes a few minutes. It is a rocky shoreline with large cliff like areas to either side. There were a number of people snorkeling looking for octopuses and blowfish. We had a blast as a family just playing in the shallow water searching for crabs. Enjoyed our stop. Only spent about an hour here as it's not really a spot to go swimming but nearby there are beaches (such as Baja Beach, Playa Blanca) which is where we drove to (5 min drive) next to enjoy the water and waves."

"Outstanding beach, friendly people, thermal water seeping on the beach, camped right on the beach. It was quiet season we had the place to our self the first day and there was 1 other guest the second day.
This beach is also safe for swimming. It stays shallow for a long time. The water is very clean and clear. Safe for kids"

"Es de verdad una joya. Recomiendo llevar tenis para la bajada. Sombrilla, chanclas, toalla y bocadillos en una mochila. Esta solo y hay muchas piedras pero se disfruta mucho.
A jewel. Take tennis shoes for the little hike. Bring a towel, umbrella, snacks and towel in a backpack. This place is EMPTY. Has a lot
Of rocks and no sand. Would highly recommend since it seems to be the only place where you don’t have to stay at a hotel to enjoy the beach. I agree with others: I hope people take care of it and it doesn’t get to become “Private Property”
If you don’t go on your way to bufadora, you will truly regret it"
