"The moment I arrived I was greeted with such great joy. Food was incredibly delicious and the drinks were also great but strong! My server was incredibly informative about everything and made the best recommendations to me as I was on my own but still wanted a variety of foods to try. The pumpkin dip (kind of like hummus) was incredible!!"

"Food was good. But waiters need education if you want to advertise as your self as "restaurant of gastronomy".
They are keep watching tables from behind of customer and keep waiting until they find an empty dish. This felt like very uncomfortable, and someone was keep watching me during my whole meal.
Some of waiters were talking in the middle of tables. I understand they can have a rest but if you have nothing to do, just go back to your position and talk there.
I couldn't focus on my meal during my whole dining.
And even I was eating, waiters came to me and asked me if I want to remove those dishes bloody 4 times! Did they want me to leave as soon as possible? Idk, services of this place is almost same level of taquerias outside. I'll not come back here again."

It is still a must go if you’re in Merida. A lot of traditional options and the service is great.
You can get a good reference of what your experience in Merida will be like, by having food here on the first day of your trip."
