"A little of the beaten path (which gives you an excuse to explore more of this lovely lively town) is a small clothes museum with an impressive collection of current Mexican costumes, organized by origin with great explanation and QR codes to scan and its donation based. There’s great a/c in the rooms and everything feels clean and tidy. Such a gem!
And if you meet Denis outside, take a sit and hear his incredible stories ;)"

"This museum is located a 10-minute walk from the zocalo. If you’re into clothing, textiles, indigenous culture, or you’re just looking for something different, GO TO THIS MUSEUM TODAY.
The docent is a woman whose name escapes me, but she is fantastic! She took the time to sit me down in front of an illustrated map of Mexico with its states and regions color-coded, and she proceeded to teach me about the various cultural groups and their languages, customs and modes of dress. My Spanish is limited, so her patience in speaking slowly and clearly to me is evidence of her enthusiasm for her work!"

From the warm welcome by the gentleman at the entrance to the knowledgeable and friendly guide who shared the rich history of Mexican textiles, every aspect was exceptional. The stunning collection, intricate craftsmanship, and the beautiful building itself made the experience unforgettable. Even if textiles or clothing aren’t your usual interests, this museum offers a simple, engaging way to learn something new and cultural. Highly recommend!"
