"Such a magical place, we arrived late and were welcomed warmly. Everyone working there is super kind and caring & we really felt at home even though we didn’t stay long. We had problems with our car on the way there & the team helped us out, making sure that we feel safe. We highly recommend the dinner experience, not only was the food great, but also is Arnoldo a great company in the evenings, telling stories about the wildlife around. We also took a safari trip with Rodolfo and had a wonderful time, he taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna & made sure that we got to see a lot of animals. It really was a perfect experience!"

"Wow, wow, wow! We get blown away every time we visit Ponta Membene and the special Elephant reserve. This is honestly one of the most beautiful reserves around. It consists of stunning coastal forest with these massive lakes and you have a very good chance of seeing elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, red duiker, nyala, hippos, crocodiles, and loads more. The drive from the Futhi Gate to the Membene lodge takes about 2 hours. Yes, it is bumpy and slow going as you are driving on soft sand (4x4 is required) but the scenery is so worth it. What an incredible ecosystem! Once you arrive at Membene Lodge you are welcomed by the sound of the waves and these incredile hues of blue in the ocean. The sea is so clean here and always warm, even in winter. We always stay in the Dune Chalets as they are closest to the beach. They are super comfortable and you feel like you are sleeping in a forest but you have the sound of the waves crashing while you fall asleep. The beach and this part of the coastline is exquisite with loads of lovely rock pools to explore during low tide. The restaurant is great and vibey, the food is good and the waitrons are very friendly and helpful. We were only here for 2 nights but I wish we could have stayed for at least a week. It is so peaceful and beautiful here. Really good for your soul."
