What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hpa-An Night Market is celebrated as a street food lover's paradise, offering an incredible variety of delicious and affordable Burmese and Karen dishes. Visitors enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, unique culinary finds like fried insects, and refreshing avocado smoothies. However, some reviewers note that the market can become quite littered due to a lack of bins, impacting the overall cleanliness.
"Tiny but pretty night market, where you'll find only food stalls. That's a nice way to discover some of the Burmese street food for a really cheap price. On the bad side : due to a lack of bins, the place ends to be very very dirty and filled with plastic bags on the floor at night. Can't imagine how many of those wastes are going to the lake."

"A street food lover's paradise. Whether you like fried food, rice & noodle dishes, fruit drinks, sushi, you can eat very well here. Not for the claustrophobic though, this place is packed every evening. You can have an avocado smoothie made while you watch, cross the lake on the concrete boardwalk, make out on the park benches if you're a teenage couple, get cotton candy for your little kids."
