"Asan Bazaar is a old, famous, the most well-known historical market in the central Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The bazaar at Asan attracts shoppers from all over the Kathmandu because of the tremendous variety of merchandise sold here, ranging from food stuffs, spices and textiles to electronics and bullion. There are banks, restaurants and a post office. Two taxi stands and bus stops are suitated on the Eastern side. The temple of Annapurna Ajima presides over Asan. A temple of of Ganesh stand at the northern side of the square. Nyalon meaning " fish Stone" is the stone figure of a fish placed on a pedestal at the center of the square. A small temple dedicated to deity Narayan stand at the northwestern side of square. Yita Chapa meaning "southern pavilion" is the long building on the southern side.
