Some note that summer can be challenging, and awareness of the natural surroundings is advised.
"I took my first Vipassana Meditation course here in June 2025. I had a wonderful experience. The center is located within the Lumbini Development Trust area in Lumbini, Nepal. The place is calm and serene, surrounded by trees. It is perfect for people taking the course for the first time.
The center has huge meditation hall with fan and AC. I loved the food they provided us during the course. Each day there was a different variety of vegetarian dish for breakfast and lunch. For first time students, they provide fruits for snacks.
Since we have to reside in the center for 11 nights, I would suggest others to bring your own bedsheet, pillow cover and sleeping bag for better experience. All the rooms have fan, mosquito net and attached bathroom. Please be mindful of the snakes in the area. We saw snake on the 7th day of the course.
I am grateful for the days spent in this Vipassana center.
May all beings be happy !!!"
