"Sad decaying beach town, still living on past glory days😭The sandy beach is still clean, expansive and not crowded. There are a few decent beach type restaurants. The best is on the south side, a little walk from the main beach entry. There is an aquarium, a good herring booth, a tiny food store with basics plus beer and wine, with a sidekick in bike rental. Free shuttle bus with Bergen main village between 10-19 hr weekdays and a pay bus on some similar hours. Overpriced rental accommodations plenty!"
