No need to make an appointment to see the exhibitions but if you are interested in archives you need to make an appointment. Free entry for all!

"I never really knew what to expect from the Historical Centre Leeuwarden, but thought I'd just go and have a look for myself. At the moment there's and exhibition of old and new painted cityscapes of Leeuwarden. As someone who likes to discover a little about the history of the place I live it I found it very intriguing to see these familiar streets in different times. There's also a lot of other history of Friesland and Leeuwarden on display or available for research. Oh, and it's free too! 😁"
