"This is a great park to visit in Noumea if you are into birds (not me). There is a good amount of walking and you can easily spend 1-2 hours here. There are also water refill stations and drinking fountains, which are especially useful on hot and humid days.
The highlight was the catfish in the pond which followed us around (presumably because they were expecting food)."

"Managed to squeeze in a brief park walk on our last day & if you like beautiful plants and ample foliage to provide shade this is a great place to chill out - bring a picnic lunch there are lots of spots to settle on but no feeding the animals!!
It was nice that the endemic fauna are close enough to really appreciate as I don’t think a cagou in the wild would have let us get so close.
That said, some of the bird enclosures are a bit small though & we only checked out the endemic section so we never witnessed what others have mentioned about mammals being kept in very confined spaces which possibly exist in other sections.
It’s quite hilly and the further you descend the longer you’ll inevitably need to ascend so keep this in mind if walking on inclines or declines are problematic.
