What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Smiths Bush is widely praised as a hidden gem, offering a peaceful and accessible nature escape within the city. Visitors love the well-maintained boardwalk, abundant birdlife, and the surprisingly tranquil atmosphere despite its urban location. Some find the motorway noise noticeable, and the lack of a loop track means backtracking.
"Hidden gem, took the dogs who loved it and there were special trees around the space. You can unfortunately hear the roar of the motorway but an easy flat boardwalk round. Probably easier to park when there are no games being played in the field."

"Smith's Bush is an absolute hidden gem, tucked in between the cricket 🏏club and motorway 🚕🚗
The well maintained, flat, raised, wooden platform keeps people off the tree roots 🌴 and enables people of all abilities 👩🦽 and people with pushchairs to easily enjoy this oasis, so close to the city 🙂
I thought the motorway noise would be distracting 😫 but the trees shelter the noise, and the low hum of traffic is actually soothing 😌 background noise to the beautiful birdsong 🐦
There are benches every few dozen meters. It's a very comfortable walk 🚶♀️ It would be nice if it were a loop track, but you have to back track 👣"
