"Nice gentle climb from the car park at campsite all the way to the saddle. Can be muddy in places and has a few springs to cross, nothing major. Certainly breezy at the top so make sure you have a windbreaker with you. Downhill section is rocky but loads of fun and certainly worth the climb. Lots of picturesque options so make sure you stop and take in the views."

"On a Mountain bike it’s about 2 hours and 15 minutes from Codgers carpark to the top, constant grind all the way, not steep but it is easy to get cramps if you aren’t prepared. The downhill from the saddle is pretty rocky, only the lower section through the bush is really smooth. I did My home in Maitai coming around the trail in 3 hours 40 minutes. It is a nice experience with some awesome views."
