"Did a walk from Ship Cove to Furneaux Lodge alone - recommended time 5.5h but finished it in 4.5h as I didn't stop for lunch and very short rest stops.
Beautiful views all throughout, including forest and coastline. Spotted native Weka and Fantailed Sparrow. Super quiet so I had most of the trail to myself. I went in early June 2023.
Took a boat with Beachcomber Cruises to Ship Cove (arrived 1030am) and they picked me up at Furneaux Lodge at around 4pm. The skipper was very informative during the rides to and fro. This was a great choice for a full-day activity!"

"Stepping off the mailboat onto ShipCove was pure magic. I could picture Captain Cooks boat on its side for cleaning and repairs and the land is unspoiled still. The many Weka were incredible, coming up to us without fear. The nesting birds keeping an eye on us out on the open. I will be back as soon as I can to walk the Queen Charlotte Track so I can see more of the amazing native bush. MAGIC"
