"I'm from Thailand and this was my first time hiking and spending the night in New Zealand. Before traveling, we were unable to book our accommodation in time.
(The hut was full, so we set up a tent nearby. There are a few tent sites to choose from)
The surrounding atmosphere is very good. There is a toilet available. But I recommend that don't look down. do your business Hurry and come out. (Coming out for hiking anywhere is not comfortable. There are only difficulties waiting for you. If you love comfort, stay home.) The nature here is Amazing! And I love hiking here.
(We're went there on April 2024)"

"Pinnacle hut 🛖 has 14 bunks and is a 3.5 hour walk from the main carpark. It has a good wood fire 🔥 and bunk beds 🛌 wuth smashing views. Good people in the hut when we were there ."

"I encountered this hut on a trip with friends and I was shocked and horrified at the state it was in. The bunk beds collapsed on me and my friends when we were playing poker and there was vandalism on the walls which contained very vulgar language. I was also appalled at the fact I could not get Domino's delivered to the hut, service was non existent. I also had mandarin peel chucked on my tent by very rude guests. Overall my experience with this hut was not a good one. I do not recommend this you are better off setting up your own tent or just turning back."
