What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise The Historic Village for its charming vintage atmosphere and the opportunity to engage with local artists and businesses. However, some reviewers have noted issues with shop closures during weekdays and a less-than-ideal experience at the on-site cafe.
"The place itself is fantastic! A cute little village vibe to wander and engage with local artists and businesses.
Unfortunately we went to the cafe and I chose the salmon quiche- which turned out to be a bacon quiche. There was no salmon in the quiche at all, just the one piece on the top. So our dogs enjoyed a treat, while I got a bad taste in my mouth about the Cafe there."

"Very small and not much to look at . Shockingly most of the shops were closed . One thing that i noticed that no shop owners talk to you or give you any smile which was very rude . Howick village is far better . Lot of area is needed to work out with . This place certainly needs people who love other people and not another robot ."

"I appreciate the beauty and aesthetics of the historical village. Truely stunning. Drove all the way down to Tauranga from Hamilton to see this. It was worth it."
