"Centrally located and right at the fish market. Don't know if it's true but our local guide told us that Holberg was born in Bergen but left as a child and only came back once at the age of 15. At some point he wrote that Bergen was the dirtiest, smelliest and most disgusting place that he had ever been, so the people of Bergen put up a statue of him so that he would be here forever. They also enjoy when the seagulls poop on his head. Again, don't know if it's completely true or not, but it's a fun story."
